My solution to now living in the tropics? Garden work between 8am and 11am, sit in the shade (ok, I’m watching Bargain Hunt but I am pretty old…) until say 5ish, garden til 10 pm. The drawbacks? We have a horse and 3 dogs that want dealing with in the sun, and after 6pm the midgies are out. But I sooo love my garden…

Veronica, I think you have found the solution. But my green fingers get itchy sitting inside looking out at all the jobs to do. What a nice problem to have.

lol! I’m already a week late reviewing a book that was out several days ago. But you are very able to do loads of things, design something!

I also neglect any housework, but I do cook for friends/family, so that’s fun. Even when I haven’t weeded the paved areas in the garden, or deadheaded the roses….OCD is somewhat of a nuisance….

I can’t even be out past 8am once the heat in June hits. Evening is out, too, because that is when the mosquitoes come out to feast. It is very hard to properly garden in just a few hours per day.

Hat on and a very good factor 50 that turns your face white and you should be fine. Works for me and I have had melanoma. Really just cover up and add the cream just in case.
