Kids have such an interesting take on the world. You wonder when you lost that amazement, that enjoyment of little things in life. They are also so transient, and grow up quickly, and enjoy different things, so just enjoy the time you spend with them! And it’s not the toys, the presents they want, it’s just the time to play, and chat, and to know you have the time, and are interested. Enjoy your lovely friends!

I laughed out loud. How cute. Makes me think of how my parents' neighbours must have seen me and my sister, as we were always climbing right through the a gap in the hedge into their garden at that same age. They moved away when I was 10 or something but I have really vague but done memories of them.

I bet they do remember you, even if not clearly. My littlest best friend has now grown up into a huge 11 year old. I only have to say the word ‘boobies’ and he collapses on the floor with hysterical laughter. Kiddos are the best.
