I mean, I don't have any answers for you, I'm afraid. But 'bosom that hit you like an airbag when you went in for a hug' was inspired. Thanks for the chuckle.

Thank you, Claire. I should have clarified that I've never actually been hit by an airbag but I'm nonetheless as certain as I can be that the simile is accurate.

I’ve had a few stages in life when I’ve been tempted to chuck my entire wardrobe and start again. Did it once - threw out all the black and charcoal grey suiting, and switched everything to navy and blues, because I was convinced that the black was making me look old and pale. (No, Ang, you were just stressed AF in a terrible job which didn’t value you and treated you shabbily.) one tip: get a *really good* haircut in a new style. Makes everything look different, even if you’re wearing the same old shabby leggings .

Ooh, this is a great shout. I had quite a drastic haircut just before my friend David's funeral in September. It was definitely a grief response. Having a long, sexy mane seemed entirely wrong. And now it's in a sort in in-between phase - neither long nor short. Very awkward. Perhaps time for a crop back to bob, even though I know it makes my moon face look even more full...

If it means anything, I think you look lovely. Also, it’s an extremely common dilemma and, in particular, Farrah Storr’s and India Knight’s Substacks have discussed at length. I have definitely felt the urge to chuck everything out and start again but, from experience, end up in exactly the same place. It’s a beggar 🤯

Thank you so much, Moira, I'll have a look back through Farrah and India's posts - also, I am *certain* that you're right. Even if starting from scratch, I'll end up back in comfy, unflattering leggings!

The bosom comment made me chuckle. I had a grandma like that. Didn’t inherit the boobage sadly. I feel your pain. I’m currently trying to transition into a mostly work from home but very occasionally have to go into the office wardrobe and have ended up 90% of the time in joggers because when walking my arsehole whippet she climbs up me to get to other dogs!!. Hey ho ☺️
