What a cute little bunch! My two cavoodles are well rehearsed at maypoling. I have one that walks and stops and sniffs every tree. The second thinks she’s part of a sled dog crew, always pulling hard to get ahead. My poor shoulders!

Yes, having two that go at different speeds is its own daily challenge. Leo has a tendency to walk walk walk and then SLAM ON THE BRAKES which drives me nuts and may well dislocate my elbow one day. Bella’s pace is more consistent, unless she decides there is moisture in the air, in which case I cannot get her to go a step further and she insists sprint home before the rain comes (it almost never does).

Made me smile and reminded me of when I had "The Three Amigos" - only one left now.

Wonderful read. Those photos make me yearn for the time when my life allows a dog again. Their faces are just brilliant and Norman is an inspired name.

The complications of a dog walk! We only ever had one dog at a time when I was growing up. First a cocker spaniel, then a springer. Both were trained as gun dogs, as my father shot (which wasn't posh - he learned as a boy during WW2, shooting game for food, and many men (but never women) up here shot). The springer was superbly trained, except when he got scent of a hedgehog, and then he was OFF, returning with the hedgehog held gently in his bleeding mouth. Our cat at that time gradually came to believe she was a dog, and would come for long walks up onto the moor with us. So we basically had two dogs, but without the pee stops for the second.

I had to look up Quins and The Stoop, which tells you how unsporty I am. Thank you for adding to my non gardening knowledge.
