Danna-boo: Why I Hate My One David Austin Rose - not to steal your thunder, but is it because all the blooms face the ground and lose the petals if someone sneezes within a 5 mile radius of the plant?! Or just mine? Beautiful in a vase for 3hrs... I wait with baited breath 9-)
I love Dannahue. I will let you know when mine flowers again. My favourites this year, so far (loads have yet to flower) are, in order, The Fighting Temeraire, Night owl, and Emma Bridgewater.

You are a writer, your posts always hook me in and are a joy to read. People should pay for your work and time and effort, because it's worth it, and so are you

I’m really sorry but I won’t subscribe. You are one of many writers on here whose writing I enjoy and read regularly. If I paid all of them I’d be bankrupt. Substack really needs to introduce a magazine style policy where I pay a magazine level subscription and get to pick a number of writers I get access to. I wish I was richer and could afford to subscribe to you but I can’t. I do hope you get lots of subscribers tho
