I know, it’s such a dick move to send this to everyone with a paywall. But, guys, I’ve just dug a 10 metre flowerbed (flexes increasingly defined biceps) at the Barn and somehow I need to get a lot of flowers for it. Also I’ve decided the barn garden needs an arch, and a water feature, a cold frame, a water butt, a compost bin, some beautiful furniture and… You know… Forgive me.

So, we had just left the tea tent and were about to enter the walled garden.

Long-time readers will know all about my love of walled gardens - well, who doesn’t? - and likely about my love of outbuildings and garden structures (again, duh). But really having seen inside Polly’s greenhouse, and the walled garden surrounding it, I told Mini that she could go on back to London without me; this was it.

And so the picture above, and the ones that follow - all taken within the walled garden - are all that now exist on my vision board.
